# BCBS Texas

> How to enroll in EFT/ERA and change your bank account for BCBS Texas, step by step.

**Portal:** [Availity Essentials](https://www.availity.com) · [About this portal](/reference/payers/availity)

## Enroll in EFT or update your bank account

These are sequential, each one depends on the last:

1. Sign in to Availity Essentials at [https://www.availity.com](https://www.availity.com) (ask your Availity admin for the "Transaction Enrollment" role if you do not see it).
2. Open Claims & Payments > Transaction Enrollment, then select Transaction Enrollment in the Enrollments Center.
3. Enter the provider details and continue, enrollment is at the Tax ID level, so all NPIs under that TIN are included.
4. Select the payer "BCBS Texas" and choose Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), plus Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA) if needed.
5. Enter the bank account where payments should deposit, then continue.
6. Review the details and click Submit Enrollments.

## If you are switching banks

Re-run the enrollment above with the new account details. Until the change is
confirmed, payments continue to the old account, keep it open and sweep the
balance until deposits from BCBS Texas appear in the new account. See
[Switch banks without missing a payer deposit](/guides/switch-banks) for the
full cutover checklist, and [EFT reassociation](/concepts/eft-reassociation)
for how to keep matching ERAs to deposits during the transition.
